Our Mission Statement
The Pomo Summer Arts Camp is dedicated to celebrating and uplifting Native American youth. Through the immersive world of circus arts, summer camp activities, and hands-on job experience, we provide a foundation for self-discovery, cultural pride, and community building. We believe in empowering our youth to develop new skills, find their voice, and become the artists and leaders of tomorrow.
Welcome to POMO SUMMER ARTS CAMP!
Every summer, something magical happens in the Heart of Mendocino County.
Greetings from Stefan Haves, Cirque du Soleil Collaborator, and Kevin Maldonado, Co-Creator for Pomo Summer Arts Camp, along with our team of circus artists including jugglers, aerialists, clowns, and more!
What we do
Please help us in 2025 to continue to bring the healing power of dance, music, crafts, theater, and Circus Arts to native children supervised by an international mix of local and international artists and mentors. The curriculum is augmented by local native practitioners who expose the youths to arts such as basketweaving, and traditional prayer and song, as well as renowned circus artists and performers that teach juggling, aerial, clowning, performance, and variety arts.
Hosted by Gateway Mendocino
This year we will be hosted by Gateway Mendocino and the Solar Living Institute, a 12 acre sanctuary where nature, art, and music come together.
Pomo Summer Arts Camp is fiscally sponsored by the Solar Living Institute, a 501c3 educational non-profit.
